A Roseburg city councilor is on the list of Governor Tina Kotek’s appointments to state boards and commissions.

Ward Three Councilor Ellen Porter has been selected to be on the Land Conservation and Development Commission. Porter said this is her first appointment and is for four years. Commission members can serve no more than two terms.

In reaction, Porter said, “I appreciate the Governor’s and the Director’s confidence in my abilities and I’m looking forward to serving on the Commission”.

Porter was the only Douglas County resident selected to be on a state board or commission, in this round of appointments. The appointments will go to the Oregon State Senate for confirmation.
