A Roseburg man died in a jeep versus motorcycle accident on Tuesday morning.

An Oregon State Police report said at 10:55 a.m. troopers responded to the crash at the intersection of Highway 42 and Landers Avenue. The preliminary investigation indicated that the Jeep had stopped at the stop sign. It then turned eastbound onto Highway 42 and entered the path of the motorcycle, operated by 37-year old Dustin Carroll, in the slow lane. The motorcycle struck the side of the Jeep and ejected the rider.

Carroll was declared deceased at the scene. The driver of the Jeep was not injured. The OSP investigation is on-going at this time.

OSP was assisted by several other agencies.
