Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged strangulation incident on Thursday.

An RPD report said at 4:40 p.m. officers contacted a juvenile victim in the 500 block of West Agee Street. The victim said he had been in a fight with an adult. The victim claimed the man had pushed him onto a couch and applied his body weight onto his throat. Officers saw marks on the victim’s neck which were consistent with his story.

The 39-year old suspect was taken into custody without incident. He was charged with strangulation and detained without bail.
