A Roseburg man was jailed by Roseburg Police Tuesday for an alleged past assault incident.

An RPD report said at 3:00 p.m. the 52-year old was contacted at Amacher Park in the 5200 block of Northeast Stephens Street regarding a past case from August 22nd. At that time, the suspect reportedly hit a victim in the face, causing a severe injury to her lip. During the arrest, the man was allegedly found to be in possession of 1.3 grams of methamphetamine.  He was charged with fourth-degree assault and cited for a violation amount of the drug. Bail was set at $6,250.
