Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a man for warrants after a K-9 was deployed on Wednesday evening.

A DCSO report said at 6:00 p.m. a deputy saw a 42-year old Myrtle Creek man walking southbound on Interstate Five just north of the Tri City exit and knew he had active warrants for his arrest. The suspect took off into the brush along the freeway when he saw the deputy’s vehicle stop.

K-9 Zoro was deployed and located the man hiding in the blackberry bushes. He was taken into custody without incident. Bail was set at $10,300.
