Due to widespread rain, the fire danger level on Oregon Department of Forestry Southwest Oregon District-protected lands in Josephine and Jackson counties has decreased to “low” as of 9:00 a.m. Wednesday.

The Industrial Fire Precaution Level will remain at one.

An ODF release said the change impacts 1.8 million acres of state, private, county and Bureau of Land Management lands protected by the Southwest Oregon District. A number of activities remain prohibited.
