Roseburg Police charged a man after an overnight traffic stop early Tuesday.

An RPD report said at 1:15 a.m. officers watched 19-year old Derrick Moss allegedly do burnouts with his vehicle in the parking lot of a business in the 2000 block of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard. Moss reportedly left the lot at a high rate of speed after he noticed that an officer was watching him. Moss was finally stopped at the intersection of Northeast Stephens Street and Northeast Winchester Street.

Moss was jailed for driving while suspended-misdemeanor, driving uninsured and for careless driving.
