One driver was taken to the hospital after a freeway wreck on Monday.

An Oregon State Police report said at 1:30 p.m. the driver of a sedan lost control of their vehicle while traveling southbound on Interstate 5 near the Harvard Avenue interchange onramp. The sedan hit the center median, then left the lane of travel, impacting a mini van that was in the slow lane.

The first driver was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center for minor injuries. He was also given a warning for driving too fast for conditions and for lane usage.

The southbound freeway onramp was closed while the accident scene was cleaned up.
