A Myrtle Creek man was jailed for an alleged menacing and harassment incident Saturday night.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just before 10:00 p.m. a deputy responded to the 300 block of Norton Lane in Myrtle Creek. 37-year old Peyton Elias was reportedly intoxicated and caused issues all evening at the residence. During a disturbance, Elias allegedly shoved a woman while she was holding a child. He also reportedly shoved a male adult and threatened to knock his teeth out. The victim thought Elias was going to follow through on his threats.

Despite consistent witness statements, Elias denied anything physical. He was taken into custody and charged with two counts of harassment and for menacing. He was detained without bail.
