The City of Winston has Oktoberfest happening this weekend with a variety of activities taking place Saturday at Riverbend Park.

Tournament games cost $15 to play with a $250 prize for the best score and a spot in the finals for a $2,500 cash prize. Games include: pretzel eating, stein holding, hammerschlagen, bucket ball, stein race and a keg race.

There will also be a beer garden, margarita bar, Optimist Club Children’s Zone, a costume contest, wiener dog races, and bingo. Live music will be featured with the Roseburg German Band at 10:00 a.m., Flashbak at 1:30 p.m. and Velvet Whiskey at 5:00 p.m.

Oktoberfest tournament finals will be held Sunday at 12:00 p.m.

The event is being held to help with Veteran Suicide Prevention.
