Mercy Foundation’s Up2UsNow Child Abuse Prevention Coalition and Douglas County Human Trafficking Task Force are hosting, “Challenge of the Heroes” on Thursday September 28th at participating restaurants around Douglas County.
The event supports Up2UsNow child abuse prevention efforts and local human trafficking programs.
Law enforcement, fire fighters, emergency medical technicians and members of the Army National Guard, will challenge each other to earn the most tips for the Community Violence Prevention initiatives while community members enjoy dinner from one of the restaurants.
The event runs from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at these locations:
Roseburg:
*Army National Guard – Salud Brewery and Food Truck
*Douglas County Fire District No. 2 – Splitz Grill
*Douglas County Sheriff’s Office – Round Table Pizza
*Reach Air and Umpqua Valley Ambulance – Alexander’s Greek Cuisine
Glide:
*Glide Fire Department – 138 Grill and Coho Pizza
Myrtle Creek:
*Myrtle Creek Police Department and Myrtle Creek Fire Department – The Taphouse
Sutherlin:
*Sutherlin Fire Department – Nellie’s Deli & Taphouse
*Sutherlin Police Department – Dakota Street Pizza
Winston:
*Winston Police Department and Winston Fire Department – Carlos’ Restaurante
