The driver was taken to the hospital after a single vehicle wreck on Sunday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 4:30 p.m. witnesses said they were alongside the 600 block of Nonpareil Road when they heard a vehicle approaching at a very high rate of speed. They looked westbound and observed a sedan as it struck a fence, broke large metal posts and rolled near the road.

The driver was ejected from the vehicle. REACH Air Ambulance responded and transported the man to PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical at Riverbend in Springfield. The sedan was towed from the scene.
