Roseburg missed setting a new record high temperature for the date Saturday, but not by much.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said the mercury reached 92 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. The record high for September 16th was 93 degrees, set in 2008.

Temperatures are starting to cool with Roseburg slated to reach 87 degrees Sunday, before dropping to 81 degrees on Monday. High temperatures Tuesday through Thursday are forecast to be in the mid to upper 70s.
