Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a transient after an alleged disorderly conduct incident early Wednesday.

A DCSO report said at 3:30 a.m. a caller said the woman was causing issues in the recreational vehicle park at the Douglas County Fairgrounds. When the deputy arrived, 44-year old Ariel Keeley was upset and walked in front of his patrol vehicle. The suspect continued to walk away and put her hands in her dress. When the deputy attempted to detain Keeley, she reportedly punched him in the chest. The deputy placed the woman on the ground and tried to get her into handcuffs. After a scuffle, she was detained.

The report said both the camp host and a guest said that Keeley was acting “crazy” and being loud. A victim reportedly had over $1,500 worth of damage to her RV which was caused by the suspect.

Keeley was charged with two counts of first-degree criminal mischief, harassment, second-degree disorderly conduct and for resisting arrest. She was detained without bail.
