Warm weather is expected on the Tyee Ridge Complex.

Its listed at 7,922 acres and is now 65 percent contained. 963 people are assigned to the complex.

An update from Northwest Incident Management Team 3 said the weather will continue to test control lines with high temperatures and low humidity. Firefighters will continue mop up activities to address heat and fire near control lines.

The Tyree Ridge Complex is comprised of multiple fires. Firefighters are working to remove fire hose and other equipment from fires in the complex which have reached 100 percent containment and have moved into patrol status. Repair work has also begun in parts of the complex, including installing water bars for diverting rainwater and reducing soil erosion.

Handheld and drone infrared cameras continue to be used during night operations to identify areas of heat. These hotspots are marked with flagging for firefighters to mop up and check until no heat remains. Much of the fire perimeter has been mopped up more than 100 feet into the interior with portions already meeting the 200 to 300-foot mop up standard.

Smoke and flames may be visible within the fire’s interior burns. Warm temperatures and lower humidity will likely increase the visibility of smoke from areas of heat and interior burning vegetation across the fire.

Hubbard Creek Road is open to local residents and fire vehicles only. Traffic delays may be experienced.
