Roseburg Police cited a man due to littering on Thursday morning.

An RPD report said at 8:00 a.m. the 55-year old was contacted with a large pile of trash and debris set up at the entrance to the Roseburg Public Library in the 1400 block of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard.

The suspect had about two pickup loads of debris around him in shopping carts, trailers and all over the ground. He was bedded down under a blanket in the middle of the large pile. When he was awakened, the suspect reportedly instantly became irate. He tried to reason away the large mess encompassing him. The camp was set up about 150 feet away from Deer Creek, He has been warned and cited multiple times in the past for prohibited camping.

The man was cited for deposing trash within 100 yards of a waterway and for prohibited camping. He was released on the scene and was issued trash bags and instructed to clean up his mess.
