Roseburg Police jailed a man following a reported physical altercation on Wednesday night.

An RPD report said just before 11:30 p.m. officers were called to a residence in the 2500 block of West Bradford Court. A victim stated the other man punched him in the face twice after asking him to leave the home. The suspect admitted to hitting the victim but said that came after the victim had hit him first. The victim sustained a swollen black eye with some blurriness and a broken front tooth. The suspect had two minor cuts to the left side of his lips.

The victim wished to pursue charges while the second man did not. The 21-year old was charged with fourth-degree assault. Bail was set at $6,250.
