Roseburg Police jailed a man following an alleged theft from a store on Sunday.

An RPD report said at 7:30 p.m. officers responded to Walmart in the 2100 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. A 32-year old Roseburg man had reportedly left with over $900 worth of camping gear. The suspect was taken into custody following a short foot pursuit. He was also found to have a warrant out for his arrest. The man was charged with theft in the second-degree and for a probation violation. He was detained without bail.
