Roseburg Police cited a man for a city ordinance violation following an incident Saturday.

An RPD report said at 9:00 a.m. officers contacted the 49-year old at Riverside Park in the 400 block of Southeast Spruce Street. The man was next to a camp surrounded by trash. He told officers the camp was not his and that he was “smoking a bowl” by the river.

He was released after being charged with unlawful smoking.
