The Bureau of Land Management has closed public lands within the Tyee Ridge Complex Fires, located in the Tyee/Umpqua/Hubbard Creek area northwest of Roseburg.
Cheyne Rossbach of the Roseburg District BLM said the emergency closure order is for the safety of the public and firefighter personnel. Rossbach said members of the public may not enter closed areas and all uses – including hiking, hunting and camping – are prohibited.
The closure includes sections of Little Wolf Road, Briarwood Lane, Long Ranch Road and Bear Creek Road, along with nearby areas.
Swiftwater Field Manager Mike Korn said, “The BLM continues to work closely with Douglas Forest Protective Association, the Oregon Department of Forestry Team 1, and the Oregon State Fire Marshal’s Red Team on public safety on the Tyee Ridge Complex”.

With expected precipitation, there is a decrease in fire danger potential. This closure will remain in place during active fire suppression and fire repair activities.
