A Roseburg man was jailed for offensive littering by Roseburg Police on Wednesday.

An RPD report said the 67-year old had been warned of littering on Tuesday. At 8:45 a.m. Wednesday the man was contacted again in the 2500 block of Northwest Renann Avenue and refused to clean up the mess, which was worse. The report said the trash consisted of empty beer cans and fast food wrappers, the smell of which was described as “horrendous”. Everything was covered in urine and feces, according to officers.

The man was arrested and taken into custody. Bail was set at $1,250. City Parks employees cleaned up the garbage.
