International Overdose Awareness Day is Thursday.

Adapt Integrated Health Care and partner organizations are holding a local event from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to honor the memory of those lost to overdose and to provide resources for prevention, treatment and recovery.

This will include the Douglas Public Health Network, HIV Alliance, local government officials, community members and more. The event will begin with opening remarks, a moment of silence for lives lost, and vital resources like Naloxone kits and training. Panel discussions will focus on issues surrounding the topic, plus there will be a community art project to remember those who have been lost.

The event is at Adapt on West Madrone Street in Roseburg and will be held in room 135. Call Adapt at 672-2691 for more information.
