Roseburg’s high temperature Tuesday dropped into the 70’s for the first time in over nine weeks.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that it reached 78 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport.  The last time Roseburg had a high in the 70s was June 23rd when the mercury topped out at 77 degrees. So far in August, the city has had highs in the 90s eleven days, in the 80s nine days, and four days when the mercury got over 100 degrees.

Roseburg is forecast to be just above 80 degrees Wednesday, before dropping back to the 70s for the next several days.
