Myrtle Creek Police jailed a transient for an alleged trespass incident on Sunday.

An MCPD report said shortly after 11:00 a.m. a victim reported that 43-year old Scott Ellis was back at her residence in the 300 block of Northwest Heard Street, and was refusing to leave.

An officer knew that Ellis had previously been trespassed from this property and had been arrested at least one other time due to past trespass issues. When the officer arrived on scene, Ellis allegedly told him that he was not going to jail. He later reportedly threatened to assault the officer. Eventually Ellis got off the porch, but allegedly refused to be arrested. A taser was deployed.

A deputy with the Douglas County Sherriff’s arrived and helped the officer get Ellis into handcuffs. Ellis was charged with second-degree criminal trespass, third degree criminal mischief and for resisting arrest. Bail was set at $8.750.
