The Bedrock Fire in the Willamette National Forest is now fifty-percent contained.
An update from Northwest Incident Management Team 2 said crews have focused on identifying hotspots and mopping up the fire perimeter in the Little Fall Creek area after several days of burn out operations. Around the remainder of the fire, crews continue to patrol and backhaul fire hose and equipment where lines are secured. On the northeastern edge of the fire, crews have begun suppression repair to return disturbed areas back to their natural condition.
Thunderstorms Thursday night brought rain showers, but not in sufficient quantities to impact the fire.
The Bedrock Fire is listed at 31,568 acres. Seven hundred forty three people are assigned to the fire. Fire updates are available at: https://www.facebook.com/BedrockFire2023
