UMPQUA NATIONAL FOREST LOWERS INDUSTRIAL FIRE PRECAUTION LEVEL

The Umpqua National Forest has lowered the Industrial Fire Precaution Level to Level 3, effective Thursday.

A UNF release said the Fire Danger Rating will remain Extreme and Public Use Restrictions will stay at Level 3.

IFPL 3 is a Restricted Shutdown and a number of industrial activities are permitted to operate only between 8:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. under certain conditions. For complete information on the restrictions, go to: https://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/umpqua/fire/?cid=fseprd933426

For those recreating with PUR’s at Level 3:

*All campfires are prohibited though gas stoves are allowed

*Smoking is restricted to enclosed vehicles, buildings, designated sites and watercraft
