WINSTON MAN JAILED FOR ALLEGED IDENTITY THEFT

Roseburg Police jailed a Winston man for alleged identity theft on Tuesday.
An RPD report said the 29-year old allegedly used a victim’s Social Security card to open a phone account with five cellular phones The man said he was given the identification to open the accounts with the intent of sharing the money with the person who gave him the identification.

At 1:00 p.m. he was arrested in the 2100 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway and taken into custody. The man was charged with identity theft and second-degree theft. He was jailed without bail.
