An RPD report said at 10:30 a.m.45-year old Mark Daniels allegedly attempted to steal $29 worth of merchandise from Sherm’s Thunderbird in the 2500 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. When an employee confronted Daniels, the suspect reportedly threw the merchandise down and tried to run. The employee tackled Daniels and during the scuffle, Daniels reportedly bit the employee, causing an injury.

While being arrested Daniels provided a false name even after being warned of giving false information several times. He was identified at the jail and it was determined that he had a warrant out of California. Daniels was charged with fourth-degree assault, third degree theft, providing false information and for the warrant. Bail was set at $13,750.
