Roseburg Police cited a man for littering near waters early Wednesday morning.

An RPD report said at 2:40 a.m. officers contacted the 55-year old under the Fowler Street Bridge in the 200 block of Southeast Fowler Street. The man reportedly had a large amount of trash scattered along the sidewalk on the south end of the bridge. Officers said they found an excessive amount of trash, personal property and other rubbish surrounding his camp.

He was released after being given the citation.
