Roseburg Police cited a woman due to a littering incident on Monday afternoon.

An RPD report said at 1:00 p.m. officers contacted the 40-year old in her camp along the bike path, just west of the freeway onramp from Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard. The woman allegedly had between one thousand and fifteen hundred pounds of river rock laid out in the grass in her camp. The report said the suspect has a habit of doing this which creates a huge problem for the Parks Department when they try to mow the area. The woman also had a large amount of trash scattered around her campsite.

The suspect was cited for second-degree criminal mischief and for offensive littering. She was released on the scene, given some trash bags, and instructed to clean up her mess.
