An Air Pollution Advisory continues through 5:00 p.m. Tuesday for much of southern Oregon.

The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality said wildfires burning in the region combined with forecast conditions is causing air quality levels to fluctuate and could be at unhealthy levels, especially in Douglas, Josephine, Jackson and northern Klamath counties.

Smoke can irritate the eyes and lungs and worsen some medical conditions. People most at risk include infants and young children, people with heart or lung disease or those who are pregnant.
