The Altrusa Club of Roseburg will hold a “Stuff the Bus” event to collect children’s books on Saturday August 26th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the parking lot of Sherm’s Thunderbird Market in Roseburg.

Club members will be accepting new or gently used children’s books for its Celebration of Literacy, Little Community Libraries and other literacy projects. In the past five years, Altrusa has given out 65,000 books to children in Douglas County.

People who have children’s books on their shelves that no one is reading now can bring them to the event so Altrusa can recycle them to children and families.
