Roseburg Police jailed a man following a traffic stop on Tuesday.

An RPD report said at 1:15 p.m.an officer stopped a pickup for expired tags in the 200 block of Southeast Jackson Street. The officer contacted a 36-year old driver who he knew was wanted for failing to report to his probation officer. During a consent search of the man’s person, the officer allegedly located about 1.25 grams of fentanyl in his pocket.

The man was charged with a probation violation and for unlawful possession of a schedule 2 controlled substance. The suspect was detained without bail.
