Winston Police arrested a man following an alleged reckless driving incident on Saturday night.

A WPD report said at about 8:50 p.m. 43-year old Jeffrey Ackley was allegedly driving recklessly from a business in the 100 block of Southeast Thompson Avenue. Ackley reportedly threw a beer can at another vehicle which resulted in a broken fender flare. He was located in the 200 block of Northeast Suksdorf Street where he allegedly continued to drive recklessly and performed a large burnout in the middle of the street. Witnesses confronted the suspect and he reportedly threatened to shoot them.

Ackley was charged with reckless driving and second-degree counts of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. He was detained on $15,000 bail and was released on Sunday.
