Fire behavior at the Flat Fire, burning near Agness in Curry County, remains similar to recent days.

An update from the Northern Rockies Incident Management Team said firefighters continue to patrol contained fire lines, monitoring the fire for changes in behavior. The southwest perimeter continues to receive work from both heavy equipment and hand crews creating a defensible contingency line. This action will tie-in line between the dozer lines in the Pistol River and Meadows Creek drainages and roads 1503, 050 and 365.

The Flat Fire is still listed at 33,861 acres. Four hundred eighty-seven people are assigned to the fire. Fire updates are available at: https://www.facebook.com/flatfireoregon2023
