As a result of increasing fire danger, the Cow Creek Umpqua Tribe has closed its lands to public use.

This is due to excessive heat warnings issued by the National Weather Service and elevated public lands restriction levels from the Douglas Forest Protective Association.

The closure is through August 24th. The Tribal Board of Directors will reassess the situation at that time. Tribal lands will be patrolled by the Cow Creek Tribal Police and the DFPA.
