Containment on the Flat Fire, burning in Curry County near Agness, is up to forty-four percent.

An update from the Northern Rockies Incident Management Team said crews are working to mop up, secure and patrol existing fire lines. They are utilizing direct suppression tactics when appropriate and ensuring resources are remaining vigilant in the areas at all times. Firefighters continue to use mechanical equipment to create defensible fuel breaks along roads. Stabilization of alternate and contingency suppression features on the landscape is ongoing.

The Flat Fire is listed at 33,817 acres. Seven hundred eighteen people are assigned to the fire.
