Roseburg Police cited three people for prohibited camping at Deer Creek Park, in the 500 block of Northeast Stephens Street, on Wednesday.

An RPD report said at 8:40 a.m. the group had their tents set up within one hundred feet of the top bank of Deer Creek. The sites were larger than ten feet by ten feet and their tents were still erected after 8:00 a.m. All three had been previously educated on the new ordinance by officers

The group, ranging in age from 41 to 70, were released after the citations were issued.
