PUBLIC USE RESTRICTIONS MOVE TO EXTREME – ROGUE RIVER SISKIYOU NATIONAL FOREST

As daytime temperatures continue to rise and fuels dry out in southwest Oregon, the Rogue-River Siskiyou National Forest has moved to “Extreme” fire danger on all five Ranger Districts.

A Rogue-River Siskiyou National Forest Service release said Public Use Restrictions have increased to Level 2. This means that no campfires of any kind are allowed in the wilderness.

The Industrial Fire Precaution Level remains at Level 2.

Public Use restrictions remain at Stage 2 on the Wild and Scenic Rogue River.
