MYRTLE CREEK MAN JAILED AFTER STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERED

A Myrtle Creek man was jailed after a stolen vehicle was recovered on Thursday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 12:30 p.m. the thirty-nine year old was arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and for two warrants, after a deputy saw a suspect in an unrelated case, walk out of a recreational vehicle and into the back yard of a residence in the 300 block of Weaver Road in Myrtle Creek.

A sedan confirmed stolen out of Roseburg, was parked in the man’s driveway. The suspect said he purchased the vehicle approximately eight months earlier. The vehicle was recovered and the owner was notified.

The man was taken into custody and was detained without bail. He was released on Friday.
