A Salem man was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct by Roseburg Police on Monday.

An RPD report said at 9:45 p.m. the 61-year old was allegedly trying to instigate a fight with another guest at a business in the 700 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard. When the suspect allegedly raised his fist and advanced on the other guest, that person attempted to break away before ultimately punching the man down, knocking him to the ground.

The suspect insisted that he was the victim, but a witness substantiated that the man was the aggressor. He was taken into custody and transported to the jail. Bail was set at $2,000. The man was released early Tuesday.
