A charge of first-degree burglary was added to a man already in jail on multiple counts.

A Roseburg Police report said on July 16th officers responded to a report of the 33-year old walking into a residence in the 900 block of Southeast Roberts and allegedly trying to steal water once inside. The man had been trespassed from the home many times in the past and used the back gate and the back door to enter the house.

Once confronted by a resident of the home, the man fled out the back door. Officers learned he was in custody and detained him for the original case at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
