The Glide Sasquatch Festival is happening on Saturday.
The festival roared to life in 2022 with over 2,500 people attending. The event was such a success that it was deemed a new tradition for the Glide community.
Activities will run from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Vendor booths from dozens of organizations will be at the new location – the Strader Ranch – just east of the green bridge on the east side of Glide. There will also be bounce houses, a mechanical bull, scavenger hunts, face painting, live music and more.
Several bands will be on stage including: Hecktic Week, Smooth Kats Band, Widespread Haze, and the Danielle Kelly Soul Project. There will also be a bigfoot calling contest and a sasquatch costume contest.
Friday evening, the Glide Sasquatch Festival presents The Bigfoot Expert Experience at the Douglas County Fairgrounds. Dr. Jeff Meldrum from Idaho State University and Scot Violette from Squatch America will both speak. A catered dinner will be served as well. That event starts at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are $65 per person.
