Six people have applied for a vacant seat on the Roseburg City Council.
The Ward Three seat has been open since Brian Prawitz resigned June 26th after taking a new job as the executive director of the Umpqua Economic Development Partnership.
The applicants are:
*Michael Fieldman: Former executive director of the United Community Action Network
*Daniel Endicott: Principal of Sunnyslope Elementary School
*Kevin Wene’: No occupation listed
*Tom Michalek: Retired from residential and commercial construction
*Thomas Dole: Retired businessman
*Celia Vander Velden: Direct Support Professional for Rever Grand
Information from city staff said a seventh person applied, but did not live inside the Ward Three boundaries
Councilors will interview the applicants beginning at 5:45 p.m. on Monday July 24th. An appointed will be made during the regular council meeting which will begin at 7:00 p.m. The person appointment will serve through the end of 2024.
