In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

Riverbend Live! continues its summer concert series with R&B, soul and a touch of the blues on Friday night.

Jackie Venson hails from Austin, Texas, is a graduate of Berklee College of Music and has released four albums. Venson and her band will hit the stage at Winston’s Riverbend Park at 7:00 p.m.

Venson was on Inside Douglas County Wednesday on News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN. That interview is a KQEN podcast at www.541radio.com

Concert goers can put out a blanket or chair earlier in the day. Food vendors will be on site or those attending can bring their own meal, along with wine or beer. The series continues through July 29th.
