A Heat Advisory remains in effect from 12:00 p.m. Friday to 9:00 p.m. Sunday for central Douglas County.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said high temperatures of 95 to 100 degrees are expected.
The Advisory area includes the communities of Roseburg, Elkton, Camas Valley, Canyonville and surrounding areas.
Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses to occur.
High temperatures will peak on Saturday but are expected to remain below the record high temperatures for the date. Overnight temperatures will be in the low to mid 60s, which will limit relief for those without access to adequate cooling resources.
Forecasters said residents should drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances.
