Greater Douglas United Way will launch its 69th Annual Giving Campaign on Thursday, September 7th.
The kick-off breakfast is set for 7:00 a.m. at Splitz Family Grill on Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard. The event is sponsored by Kelley Connect.
Campaign leaders along with board members and key donors for the non-profit organization will gather along with representatives from member agencies that provide crucial services throughout Douglas County. The morning includes a breakfast, an auction and the unveiling of the 2023-24 Giving Campaign theme.
GDUW Executive Director Bryan Trenkle said, “The purpose of the Kickoff Breakfast is to stoke the passion of key United Way supporters, raise awareness for our agencies that provide critical services and programs in our area, raise some money and have fun”. Trenkle said the bar has been set high again this year and he expects to see more proof of how the community continues to give back.
Twenty-four nonprofit member agencies and another two hundred plus non-profit organizations benefited from last year’s campaign.
