ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR WARRANT, FOUND IN SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE

Roseburg Police jailed a man for a warrant after he was found in a suspicious vehicle on Wednesday night.

An RPD report said just before 6:00 p.m. officers received information that the vehicle was in the parking lot of the National Guard Armory in the 100 block of General Avenue. Officers contacted a 26-year old transient who had the title for the vehicle. During the course of the investigation, officers learned of a Roseburg Municipal Court warrant for the man’s arrest. The transient’s vehicle and other personal belongings were left in the care of a girlfriend, with his consent.

He was charged for the warrant and the original charge of third-degree theft. Bail was set at $13,750.
