Roseburg Police cited a man Wednesday due to littering incidents.

An RPD report said officers had contacted the 48-year old man approximately ten days prior and instructed him to clean up all the trash around his campsite near the intersection of West Harvard Avenue and Northwest Stewart Parkway.

He was contacted at 2:10 p.m. and officers found that the amount of trash had actually increased since the last contact. Officers estimated there was about eight bags worth of trash and debris around the man’s camp site.

The man was issued trash bags and instructed to clean up his mess. He was released after being given a citation for depositing trash within one hundred yards of a waterway.
