In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

The sounds of Zydeco will be featured at Music on the Half Shell on Tuesday night.

Grammy nominated artist C.J. Chenier will perform on the Nichols Band Shell in Roseburg’s Stewart Park at 7:00 p.m. Chenier started his career in the band of his father, the late Clifton Chenier, who is considered “The King of Zydeco”. Chenier has gone on to play with artists like Paul Simon, Ray Parker Junior and Joe Sample.

Those who attend can put out blankets ahead of the show. Vendors have dinner available or concert goers can bring their meal, along with wine or beer.
